Autism can be reliably diagnosed as early as 18–24 months of age. However, many individuals are diagnosed later, often at 3–4 years or even during school age. Early diagnosis is important for accessing timely intervention. If you have developmental concerns, please contact us for an evaluation.
Our diagnostic process involves a comprehensive assessment by a multidisciplinary team including a Neuro-Developmental Pediatrician, Clinical Psychologist, and Speech-Language Pathologist. We use standardized, internationally validated tools. The process typically includes a developmental history, direct observation, and standardized assessments over one or more sessions.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is primarily characterized by challenges in social communication and restricted/repetitive behaviors. ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) involves inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. GDD (Global Developmental Delay) refers to significant delays in two or more developmental domains in individuals under 5 years of age. These conditions can co-occur. A formal assessment is needed to accurately diagnose.
We offer a comprehensive range including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Special Education, Life Skills Training, and more. Our team creates individualized therapy plans based on each person's specific needs and strengths.
Therapy frequency depends on the person's age, severity of needs, and specific goals. Our team will recommend an individualized therapy schedule after the initial assessment. Generally, early intervention programs are more intensive (often daily or several times per week).
Yes. We are adding a telemedicine facility that starts with health education and guided support, followed by therapist-led online consultations for follow-up care and for families who cannot come in person because of financial or other practical constraints. Initial comprehensive assessments are still best conducted in person.
The first step is to book an OPD appointment with our Neuro-Developmental Pediatrician. After the initial consultation and assessment, our team will discuss the appropriate program and create an individualized plan for the person.
Yes, we offer residential services for individuals who require intensive, structured support. Please contact us or book a Residential Services appointment to discuss eligibility, availability, and the admission process.
A disability certificate (UDID – Unique Disability ID) can be obtained from government hospitals with a designated disability assessment board. Our centre can provide the necessary diagnostic report. Visit the UDID portal (www.swavlambancard.gov.in) or contact your District Social Welfare Office for guidance.
Under the Right to Education (RTE) Act, school-age persons with disabilities including autism have the right to free and compulsory education in neighborhood schools up to Class 8. Schools are required to provide reasonable accommodations and inclusive education. The Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act 2016 further strengthens these rights.
You can book an appointment through our website (Appointment page), call our helpline, or visit the centre in person. OPD slots are available Monday to Saturday, 9 AM – 4 PM. Online consultations can be scheduled for evenings on select days.
Please bring: previous medical reports, school reports, therapy records, immunization records, birth history, any previous assessment reports, and a list of your specific concerns. Having this information helps our team conduct a thorough evaluation.
